The 34th Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair Opens on May 17

The 34th Harbin International Economic and Trade Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Harbin Fair") will be held at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 17 to 21, 2025, with public open days starting on May 18. During the fair, the "Heilongjiang Tour for Foreign Enterprises" event, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, will also take place concurrently in Heilongjiang.

Under the theme of "Jointly Building a New Highland for Northbound Opening-Up, Sharing New Opportunities for Revitalization and Development," this year’s Harbin Fair will leverage its unique advantages as a key node in the Belt and Road Initiative and the forefront of China-Russia cooperation. It aims to create a comprehensive platform for open collaboration, accelerate the construction of a new hub for China’s northbound opening-up, and support the development of "Six Heilongjiangs" and the advancement of "Eight Revitalizations." Adhering to the principles of "Simplicity, Safety, Compliance, And Excellence," the fair will establish high-level platforms for trade and investment cooperation, China-Russia regional exchanges, industrial collaboration driven by sci-tech innovation, and domestic demand expansion through consumer exhibitions.

Registered exhibitors from 33 countries/regions

The total exhibition area of this year’s Harbin Fair exceeds 600,000 square meters, with the main venue at Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center and multiple sub-venues including Xilong Market, Harbin Westred Square, Hongqi Furniture City, and Daheihe Island International Trade City. The main venue covers 55,000 square meters, featuring six exhibition zones: International &China (Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan), Provincial/Municipal/State-Owned Enterprise Cooperation, Heilongjiang Revitalization, Large-Scale Equipment, Intelligent Manufacturing, and Green Food.

As of now, nearly 1,400 enterprises from 33 countries and regions and 22 Chinese provinces/municipalities have registered to participate. Nearly 20 central and state-owned enterprises, including AECC, CNPC, China Mobile, China First Heavy Industries, China Southern Airlines, Magang, XGMA, Moutai, Haier, Inspur, and Shandong Commercial Group, will set up customized booths. The main venue’s indoor exhibition area has achieved a 100% customized booth rate, ensuring diverse and tailored experiences for exhibitors and buyers.

Focusing on Practical Cooperation with Over 100 Supporting Events

This year’s Harbin Fair will host over 100 supporting events centered on China-Russia cooperation, industrial matchmaking, investment promotion, brand promotion, and cultural tourism consumption. Key events include Government-Business Exchange for Foreign Enterprises, Opening Ceremony of the 3rd China-Russia Regional Cultural and Arts Festival,Harbin Fair Opening Ceremony &2025 Heilongjiang Global Trade and Investment Cooperation Conference, the 2nd China-Russia Regional Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference,Harbin Fair Signing Ceremony, and Opening of Russian Food Culture Festival ("Made in Russia"), etc.

Additionally, there will be around 1,000 specialized activities, including e-commerce live streaming sessions, first launch &debut exclusive event, procurement matchmaking at sub-venues, international cultural performances, sports events, and various local "Consumption Seasons", "Theme Art Festivals" and "Local Cultural Celebrations." Among them, over 100 "First Launch, First Debut, First Exhibition" events will offer exhibitors and buyers an innovative and dynamic experience.

First Dual Guest Countries of Honor, Featuring Multiple Innovations

With less than a month until the opening, preparations for the Harbin Fair are progressing smoothly. This year’s fair introduces dual guest countries of honor for the first time—Thailand and Mongolia. Thailand will host a specialty goods exhibition, while Mongolia will present a trade and cultural showcase. Shandong Province serves as the guest province of honor, featuring 62 brands, and Daqing City is the theme city, highlighting its latest achievements in modern industrial development. Meanwhile, the Russian Food Culture Festival (Made in Russia), China-South Korea Cultural Exhibition, and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Product Showcase will also make their debut, adding further highlights to the event.(harbin.gov.cn)
